Facilities
Rental Policy
1.
A sketch of the facilities or a tour of the facilities will be
provided upon request to the Facilities Rental Chairperson or assignee.
2.
This facility will be used for non-commercial use only.
3.
The maximum attendance shall not exceed 300 people.
All function and associated activities are to be limited to the
club house interior only and must conclude by 12:00AM.
4.
Upon completion of the event, the thermostats (8 total) are to be
set to 55 degrees Fahrenheit if heating or to 85 degrees Fahrenheit if
cooling.
5.
Use of all first floor rooms and furniture is included in your
rental fee.
6.
Use of the swimming pool and pool deck is not included and not
authorized. A separate arrangement may be made for rental of the pool,
pool deck and pool house. Glass
containers are not permitted on the pool deck at any time.
7.
Any furniture that is moved must be returned to its normal location
after the party. Appliances
are not to be moved. No
paintings, pictures, pennants, decorations, etc. are to be removed from
walls.
8.
Except for the Casual Rental Contract, reasonable janitorial
cleanup is included in the rental fee for the club.
This does not, however, include cleanup of plates, glasses, cups,
etc. The house shall be left
in a tidy condition, free of debris.
Paper confetti or birdseed should be substituted for rice at
weddings because rice creates a slipping hazard.
In the case of casual rental, the renter is responsible for all
cleanup.
9.
Large folding tables, round tables and chairs are available for
your use. If used, they are
to be stored carefully after use.
10.
No items of any kind shall be nailed, stapled, marked, painted,
taped, tacked, or otherwise appended to the walls or house in any way.
No items of any kind are to be suspended from ceiling fans.
11.
The bar, kitchen, and all other facilities are to be left clean and
secure. Food or other perishables are not to be left in the
refrigerator unless prior arrangements have been made.
All kitchen refuse, food, etc. are to be placed in plastic trash
bags provided and are to be tied and placed in the dumpster outside the
house.
12.
The house is in a residential area.
Audio entertainment, amplified or otherwise, is not permitted
outside the club house building. As
the club is fully heated and air conditioned, we ask that the windows and
doors be kept closed to keep party noise inside.
13.
Use of the gazebo is not included in the rental of the club.
The gazebo is available for use by club members at all times but
cannot be reserved unless it is specifically rented along with the pool,
and then only outside pool operating hours.
Separate arrangements can be made for pool rental.
14.
The cost of any or all restoration or repair required as a result
of the party will be deducted from the damage deposit or charged back to
the member. Any cost in excess of the deposit will be billed after the
event.
15.
The keys to the building must be returned and all temporary
equipment and/or furniture must be removed not later than 10:00 am the
following morning, except for hourly rental, in which case this must be
accomplished by the hour specified in the contract.
Failure to return all the keys will result in forfeiture of the
damage deposit and/or a charge back to the renter.
16.
Renter agrees to hold Hobcaw Yacht Club harmless from any liability
for injury to guests and/or damage or loss of personal property of guests.
17.
Unauthorized use of the pool, leaving the club house unlocked, or
failure to comply with specified bartending procedures will result in
forfeiture of the entire deposit.
