The Hobcaw Yacht Club Marlins swim team is the largest team in the Coastal Carolina Aquatic Association (CCAA), with 250 swimmers ages 4-18. The Hobcaw Swim Team wants to provide a fun-filled, educational and safe experience for our swimmers. Our goals are for all swimmers to feel comfortable in the water, know how to do the basic swimming strokes and have fun in a team environment. If you are interested in joining the swim team for the first time, send us an e-mail at hobcawswimming@gmail.com to receive more information.

Dee DiBona is the swim team representative. Dee's e-mail address is jdibs@hotmail.com, and her phone number is 843-971-4157.

For detailed information including practice and meet schedules, refer to the Swim Team Handbook.

New Hobcaw members are always welcome—all swim team members must also be current Hobcaw Yacht Club members. For more information about HYC membership, contact Amy Minson at HobcawYachtClub.membership@gmail.com or 856-3323.

Our head coach this year is Mary B Shaw.  Mary B is a former Hobcaw swimmer who also coached the marlins in 1998, 1999, and 2003.  She also coached the year-round Mt. Pleasant Swim Club Manatees from 2002-2004.  She’s taught many Hobcaw children how to swim, and we are so excited to have her back on deck as our head coach!
